Inspirations: 1. The human figure 2. Flying creatures, birds, dragonflies, etc... 3. Nature (intimate glimpses) 4. The written word

I combine the above subjects in paintings and monotypes with an eye to realism but also often changing the environment or space in which these things normally appear.

I like color, texture, distressed surfaces, pattern and a touch of mystery or whimsy.

For me art is beauty, search, a means to an end, a formal language, an evolution, a record.
